We are pleased to announce that the article “Exploring an emerging paradigm of internationalization in local universities amid population decline: comparative studies in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan,”
authored by Yuki Watabe (Tohoku University) and colleagues, has been accepted for publication in the International Journal of Comparative Education and Development (DOI: 10.1108/IJCED-03-2025-0031). This study explores how local universities in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan are developing a new paradigm of internationalization to contribute to sustainable regional development amid population decline, based on comparative empirical evidence.
